Hey Everyone, my name is James Orth and I will be one of your team members to our trip to Puerto Rico. I’ am going to be a senior this next coming year and I have just recently turned 18. I live in San Antonio, Texas ( The city known for the Alamo) and attend Smithson Valley High school. Also just recently I have been honored by being chosen for Drum Major of my high school band, which is a huge blessing that God has set me on a path to success. If you don’t know about what a Drum Major is it’s the people that look like they are waving their hands around in the front of the band when the band is marching. I want you to know that this is not my first missionary trip that I have been on but definitely the biggest yet so far. The first was when I went to Eagle Pass to help a Family whose house was destroyed by a tornado. My second was my trip to Houston Texas in a part called the 5th ward which is some of the worst slums I’ve seen and we held a christian service for all the children and it was so much fun. Ever since my first trip my passion has been to help the needy and spread the love of Jesus Christ who has given me a great passion to bring the nations together into a single nation under Christ. During this trip I meet a friend who would eventually become one of my best freinds, Emily Peterson. Emily is an awesome Christian and inspired me to do further and greater missionary work through her missionary trip to Peru. She has shared her experiences and got me interested into doing a missionary trip on a much bigger scale. God has talked through me and my choice was to do missionary work in Puerto Rico. I can’t wait to help out in what ever we do cause I know that God has planned an amazing trip for all of us.

I just got back from Texas last week from visiting family. congrats on getting Drum Major, thats a huge blessing. What an awesome testimony about how missions have made you grow and want to spread the love of Christ. Thats really awesome you had a friend that could inspire you like that. This is John, another leader, I wanted to say hello. I am glad God has shown you so many things already and you have listened to Him. That’s great that you give Him the credit for your success, and I am sure He has a lot more for you. I can’t wait to get to actually hang out with all of you, and it won’t be long.
