Just so you guys can know a little bit about me…
I currently live in Denver, CO. I am going to school at Colorado University of Denver studying psychology in hopes to graduate next May. I have two older brothers, one who is in the Navy living in North Carolina who has three little boys (the best nephews any aunt could want), and another brother living in Colorado working. I have a younger sister who is 16 who I would consider my best friend. She is actually going to Uganda this summer on a mission trip with AIM.
I have always been a Christian growing up with a Christian family, but it wasn’t until my freshman year in college that I began to have a personal relationship with Christ. I had a friend that worked with me in high school at a bank who had a true heart for God. I could see the glow of Christ in him and when I left for college up at CSU I decided I wanted that. At CSU I got involved in Campus Crusades for Christ. Through that ministry I got involved in a Bible study. That is where I met one of my good friends. She started taking me to the Vineyard Church up in Fort Collins. My relationship with Christ grew more than ever. Through going to Church, Bible study, and my own personal devotion my passion for God began to grow more and more. At church I began teaching Sunday school and was a small group leader for second graders. Last Spring break I decided to go on my first mission trip to Fresnillo, Mexico. I was the youngest in the group. Everyone else going had children or even grand children. It was an amazing experience and I think our group worked really well together. In Fresnillo we did a lot of feeding programs, did Bible lessons for the children, and helped the Missionary there fix up her home. I found out about AIM through my sister. She went to the Dominican Republic last year and it changed her life. She encouraged me to become a leader for AIM and here I am.
I am excited for this trip and to meet everyone. I am excited to hear everyone’s story and grow together.
